St. Mary’s Ediofe Girls Secondary School is a premier girls’ boarding secondary school located in Arua District, West Nile Region, Uganda. Founded in 1983, the school was established with a clear vision: to provide accessible, high-quality education for the girl child and empower young women to become responsible leaders in society.
The Girls Secondary School is a distinguished Catholic-founded, government-aided institution established through a collaboration between the local community and the Roman Catholic Church - Arua Diocese.

From humble beginnings of just 80 students, St. Mary’s
Ediofe Girls has grown into a vibrant institution with over 1,000 learners,
shaping generations of women who contribute meaningfully to society.
With a student population of over 1,000 and a history spanning more than four
decades, St. Mary’s Girls Ediofe Secondary School continues to stand as a beacon
of hope, resilience, and transformation, championing the advancement of
girl-child education in Uganda and beyond.
