The Teachers’ Debate Network initiative is designed to promote analytical thinking, research skills, and effective communication among learners. The West Nile regional competitions attracted multiple schools, each competing across different categories aimed at nurturing students’ confidence and expression.

Participants engaged in structured debates on topical issues, while others competed in poetry recitals and public speech—disciplines that continue to gain popularity in co-curricular education across Uganda.

Education stakeholders have consistently emphasized that such platforms play a key role in shaping students into future leaders by enhancing their ability to articulate ideas and engage in constructive discourse.

Teachers and organizers praised the high level of competition witnessed during the TDN event, noting improvements in research depth and presentation skills among students.
